Abstract:

Currently, the problem of ischemic stroke in young patients is still complex and unclear issue. Cryptogenic stroke is usually observed in young people that complicates timely diagnosis and treatment of this disease. Case report demonstrates a diagnostic searching in a patient with previous several ischemic events, hereditary thrombophilia and patent foramen ovale. Modern views on secondary prevention of ischemic stroke associated with patent foramen ovale are presented.
