Abstract:

The aim of the study was to compare effectiveness like a first line therapy of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) and antiarrhythmic drug therapy (AAT) for patients with nonischemic ventricular parasistolies (PS). Material and methods. The study are included 186 patients with PS different nonischemic etiologies (according to the classification J. Bigger — benign and potentially dangerous). The main methods of controlling the effectiveness of treatment, was Holter monitoring and treadmill test. Results. The effect of long-term AAT and RFA in patients with single, paired PS and paroxysms of ventricular tachycardia were: when drug therapy — 79.3, 72.1 and 70.4%, while RFA — 78.5, 77.4 and 73.9%, respectively. Conclusions. The results showed significantly the comparability of the effectiveness of RFA and AAT, selected taking into account the influence of the autonomic nervous system on the links arrhytmogenne of the patients with noncoronary ventricular PS. Both methods of treatment, intervention and medication are highly effective and relatively safe.
