Abstract:

Classical Bentall-DeBono's operation includes a number of conduit-dependent complications, for example bleeding from proximal anastomosis, tension in anastomotic area with coronary arteries. Long-term results of modified valved conduit using are evaluated in the study. The main group included 19 patients who were operated by using of modified valved conduit. The control group included 73 patients who were operated by using of classical Bentall-DeBono's technique. Long-term results are assessed in terms of up to 3 years after surgery. Statistically significant deferences in survival and reoperation rate between groups were not found. Use of modified conduit reduces tension in the coronary anastomoses and the risks of false aneurysms in this area.
