Abstract:

Results of surgical treatment were analyzed in 155 patients with ascending aorta aneurysm and dissection combined with aortic vavle insufficiency. It is shown, that valve-saving operations are characterized by satisfactory results and admissible mortality in early postoperative period even in the presence of aortic dissection. They are not accompanied by significant increase in aortic cross-clamping time and duration of artificial circulation. Results of valve-saving operations are comparable with results of operations intended for replacement of aortic root with valvular conduit. It is drawn a conclusion that valve-saving operations on intact aortic valve (subcoronary prosthetics with recurrent suspension of commissural columns, David operation, Wolfe operation) can be recommended for wide application.
