Abstract:

The authors describe the first case of heterotopic bicaval implantation of transcatheter valve system in Russia for correction of severe tricuspid regurgitation in a patient with extremely high surgical risk and contraindication for redo surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass. The patient did not meet anatomical criteria for transcatheter edge-to-edge tricuspid valve repair. This case demonstrates the effectiveness of heterotopic bicaval implantation for tricuspid valve disease in high-risk patient with better control of chronic heart failure and positive reverse right ventricular remodeling over a 12-month follow-up.
