Abstract:

Three variants of venous thromboembolism in patients with hereditary thrombophilia are considered. The authors maintain that specific combinations of genetic prothrombotic polymorphisms as well as their combination with a variety of acquired risk factors play the key role in the formation of thrombophilic status in individual patients. It is concluded the comprehensive molecular-genetic analysis provides a reliable basis for making clinical decisions, in the first place for the determination of the character and duration of therapeutic, prophylactic, and rehabilitative programs.
