OBJECTIVE

Analyze the use of endoscopic hemostasis methods by endoscopists in patients with gastroduodenal bleeding in hospitals of different levels.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

A survey of endoscopists working in hospitals providing emergency medical care of surgical profile, including patients with ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding, was conducted. Endoscopic hemostasis is the leading method in the treatment of patients in this category. In most cases, the success of endoscopic hemostasis depends on the choice of the method or its combination, and avoids relapse and surgical treatment.

RESULTS

Analysis of the survey results showed that all patients with ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding undergo endoscopic hemostasis, regardless of the level of the medical institution and the experience of the endoscopist. In 100% of cases, preference is given to injection hemostasis and, if necessary, its combination with other methods. The unanimous opinion on the need to conduct a control study after endoscopic hemostasis was confirmed.

CONCLUSION

Timely choice of management tactics for patients with ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding and the method of endoscopic hemostasis or its combination can significantly reduce the risk of relapse and surgical treatment.
