The article reveals the problems of the danger of surgical smoke for medical personnel and patients. Methods for evacuating surgical smoke are given and their effectiveness is described. The composition of surgical smoke and its effect on the body of the patient and medical personnel are indicated. Examples of the regulation of work on the evacuation of surgical smoke in medical institutions in different countries are given.
