Professor Samuil Mikhailovich Blinkov - a major neuromorphologist and neurologist, a scientist of world renown - made an outstanding contribution to the development of neurosurgical neurology and neurosurgical anatomy. A recognized founder of the new neuroscience (quantitative neurology), author of discovery and many monographs published or deposited in Russia and abroad, Samuil Mikhailovich possessed exceptional erudition and efficiency. His book “The Human Brain in Figures and Tables” was translated into English and German. In the world literature, 35 reviews by leading neuroresearchers were devoted to it, emphasizing that it opened a new chapter in the study of the human brain.
