Abstract:

The main direction of the scientific research conducted by Prof. A.P. Gromov and his students is experimental, including the mathematical modelling of mechanical damage. He actively developed a new scientific direction in forensic medicine – the biomechanics of trauma, which allowed characterization of the influence of physical parameters of mechanical impact on the morphology of injuries. A.P. Gromov scientifically proved a new mechanism of closed craniocerebral injury caused by skull deformation. A.P. Gromov is the author of over 300 scientific works and 30 monographs. Under the guidance of A.P. Gromov, 13 doctoral dissertations and 25 candidate dissertations were successfully defended.
