Abstract:

We undertook a cytological and bacteriological study of the scrapings from the lingual surface with a view to detecting and counting colonies of residential microflora in the patients presenting with diseases of the organs of the upper gastrointestinal tract. The study has demonstrated the unbalanced growth of residential flora in this patients both in the period of acute disease and at the time of remission.
