The medico-economic expertise most frequently reveal the unjustified overestimation of the scope and cost of the dental health service. The occurrence of such overestimation varied from 22.04% to 5.95% in 2006 and 2009 respectively. The cases of inadequate medical care occurred at a significantly lower rate than that (0.56% in 2006 and 1.21% in 2009). The medico-economic expertise needs to be supported by the results of monitoring and analysis of the organization, dynamics, and structure of the obligatory medical insurance system taking into consideration its defects and drawback, the degree of compliance of the diagnostic and therapeutic process with the currently accepted standards and coefficients of the consumption of dental health services as envisaged in the nomenclature of medical services applied in the obligatory medical insurance system.
