In the present work, we determined the levels of major fibroblast growth factor-beta (FGF-beta) and transforming growth factor-1-beta (TGF-1-beta) in the samples of regenerated bone tissue from femoral epiphyses of rats following its damage by radiation of an erbium laser and a a physiodispenser-driven rotating instrument. It was shown that laser radiation caused wave-like variations in the FGF-b and TGF-1b content within 5, 10, 15, and 20 days after injury; the patterns of variation differed from those observed after damage by the rotating instrument. By day 40, the levels of either growth factor were not significantly different in the tissues damaged by the two methods.
