Examination of 57 patients with the help of electronic axiography demonstrated that 33% of them showed no signs of functional pathology. The remaining patients (67%) had functional disorders either reversible (62%) or difficult to correct (5%). These findings suggest the possibility to diagnose functional state of the dentofacial system by the electronic axiographic technique at early stages of the pathologic process. This approach makes it possible to improve the quality of rehabilitation in patients undergoing the orthopedic treatment with the use of dental implants based on prediction and prevention of complications associated with functional disturbances.
