Abstract:

Objective. To examine the possible physical and mental consequences of rape and other sexual assault. Material and methods: Interdependent data of investigative practices and the results of forensic examinations were used. Results. Bodies injury as a result of sexual assault against minors cause serious harm to the health of children. Their severity depends on the age of the victim, theirs physical status. Post-traumatic disorders of mental condition of children are most often manifested in the form of acute stress reactions, post-traumatic stress disorder. Their danger lies in long-term consequences that affect the mental health of children and their social adaptation. Conclusion. Physical effects in the form of traumatic lesions in juvenile victims of sexual violence, are identified immediately after the commission of the offense is quite simple, in contrast to the post-traumatic disorders of mental condition characterized by latency can develop into a long-term period from the moment of the event, and require prolonged follow-up.
