Abstract:

Objective. To assess the menstrual function in girls with diabetes mellitus. Material and methods. 100 patients aged from 11 to 17 years old with diabetes mellitus type 1 were examined. In all patients menstrual function dependence on the duration and severity of the disease, time debut of diabetes, the level of compensation was investigated. Results. The direct correlation between menstrual cycle disorders and of diabetes type duration, time debut, severity and insulin doses was revealed. Conclusions. More than 2/3 of girls and young women with diabetes mellitus type 1 have menstrual disorders and their severity correlates with diabetes mellitus duration and severity and insulin doses.
