Abstract:

Objective. To study the clinical and morphological features of nodular and diffuse forms of adenomyosis. Materials and methods. 70 women with adenomyosis were investigated with ultrasound study, magnetic resonance spectroscopy and morphological study of knots. Results. The nodal adenomyosis in clinical manifestations differs from diffuse adenomyosis in general population (p = 0.004) with probability of 99%. Conclusion. Nodular adenomyosis has special clinical and morphological characteristics. Diagnosis of nodular adenomyosis should be based on the clinical, instrumental and morphological data to determine the most optimal management of patients with this disease.
