Abstract:

Preeclampsia (PE) is the most common complication of pregnancy, however , there is no consensus what mechanism has to be considered as a trigger of this pathology. The role of gene polymorphisms involved in blood pressure regulation and endothelial function as a cause of defective placentation in preeclampsia are discussed.
