We have repeatedly called and are calling for attention to the unsatisfactory provision of anatomical material for students of medical universities and medical-cadets. The existing situation with anatomical material in the higher school of the Russian Federation does not allow providing high-quality general medical training for a doctor, not to mention a future surgeon. If the historically established and justified Pirogov system of anatomical and physiological educational training is destroyed, there will be no high-quality medical education, there will be no money outside the budget coming from foreigners to pay for education, which at first will indirectly affect on the training of Russian students, and later on the quality of medical aid to the population of the Russian Federation. We believe that it is necessary to thoughtfully take advantage of the accumulated positive international experience and effectively apply it to Russian realities, having adopted in the near future a law about donation of dead bodies.
