Aim of study. Determination of relationship of the spatial location of the frontal bone supraorbital rim with craniometric parameters of facial skull and structural features of the frontal sinus in people of mature age Materials and methods. The material was passported skulls and their X-rays (n=54), as well as X-rays of the people’s heads (n=250) of different sex and age. The measurement was carried out according to the method of R. Martin in compliance with the appropriate methods of craniometry. X-rays were digitized with a scale bar for further study using the ImageJ program. Results. The spatial characteristics of supraorbital rim of the frontal bone have a reliable moderate correlation with the width and height of the face, the width of the alveolar arch. A direct moderate correlation was revealed between the height, width of the frontal sinus and the width of the alveolar arch. A reliable moderate correlation (r=0.41; p<0.05) was found between the curvature coefficient (CC) and the degree of sinus development. With a CC of more than 45, the frontal sinus was expressed, was distinguished by the presence of bays, and often went beyond the middle of the supraorbital rim. Conclusion. The study showed that the supraorbital rim is the central point in the structure of facial section of human skull and has a stable correlation with the main parameters of face.
