The paper describes a rare clinical case of a 58-year-old patient with disseminated gastric cancer and liver metastases with long-term remission after treatment: palliative D2-gastrectomy through an abdominal-mediastinal approach, lower thoracic esophagectomy, mesocolonectomy, distal subtotal pancreatectomy, and splenectomy were made 6 years ago. The XELOX (capecitabine/oxaliplatin) regimen was used as first-line chemotherapy. Six years later, the patient is alive without evidence of disease progression.
