The paper presents current views on combined treatment for locally advanced forms of squamous cell carcinoma of the laryngopharynx and larynx using induction chemotherapy. The authors give their own clinical observations demonstrating the high efficiency of induction chemotherapy and the possibilities of effective and safe use of cetuximab monotherapy in the treatment of generalized forms of head and neck tumors.
