This article highlights the practical experience of establishing a central laboratory in the Yaroslavl region. The article describes the preconditions of creation of the Hospital, indicates the stages of implementation, specifies current problems. This paper proposes an innovative experience of interaction between participants of the project regarding integration of various information systems. These systems provide the ability to use bar coding system identification of biomaterial and directions for research, obtaining research results in real time. Research results are transmitted over a secure network through a service integrated electronic medical record using the Regional segment of the Unified state health information system in the Yaroslavl region (RSUSHIS YR), that distinguishes it from similar regional projects. In the final part of the article are shown positive social and economic effects due to centralized storage of laboratory studies in RSUSHIS YR and prospects of development of the project.
