Abstract:

The article describes the main biographical milestones and scientific contribution of the outstanding Soviet dermatovenerologist, corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, Honored Scientist of the Turkmen SSR P.V. Kozhevnikov (1898—1969). P.V. Kozhevnikov is the author of more than 250 scientific publications dealing with eczematous skin lesions, skin leishmaniasis, gangrene caused by injection of bismuth and mercury preparations, organization of dermatovenereological services, and methods of teaching dermatovenerology.
