The article focuses on the scientific rationale for methodological and technical approaches to documentation of administrative processes in medical institutions. The research methodology is based on the analysis of the provisions of GOST ISO 9001 and publications. A combination of a process flow sheet and graphical form of its representation was suggested as a basic approach to documentation of administrative processes. This practice has been introduced in the healthcare system, but has not yet become widespread. The expediency of the use of process flow sheets was substantiated, the principles of their formation for administrative processes in healthcare institutions was provided, and the template for process flow sheets was proposed. The authors suggest that the name of the process, the owner of the process, the participants of the process, the beginning of the process, the result of the process, the requirements for monitoring and controlling the process and its results, process operations, and the main risks of the process are mandatory elements of the process flow sheets. The authors of the study developed and presented a notation for the activity diagram for business process description. The studies of E. Berseneva formed the basis for the development. The underlying principles of the notation were formulated, and the preferred type of business process models to be used in medical institutions were determined and substantiated. The feasibility of implementation of the program for lexical and semantic analysis of medical records for subsequent use in medical institutions was substantiated.
