Outcome of the acute allergic skin disease is determined by the timeliness and scope of medical interventions. Objective — this study was aimed at assessing clinical efficacy and safety of Phencarol injections in stopping the acute allergodermia. Material and methods. The study included 60 patients with acute of urticaria, erythema multiforme, toxicoderm and eczema. Dermatological index based on symptom scale was used to assess the severity of allergodermia. Pruritus was evaluated independently using a visual analog scale. Treatment tolerability was determined by assessing the cognitive functions using Bourdon test. The number of adverse events was also evaluated. All patients received combination therapy with Phencarol intramuscular injections as an antihistamine agent. Results. Parenteral administration of Phencarol facilitated elimination of urticaria and toxicoderma symptoms, rapid improvement of erythema multiforme and exudative eczema symptoms and was characterized by good tolerability.
