In most cases of dermatitis and dermatosis, the symptoms of sensitive or intolerant skin are observed along with disease-specific basic rash elements, including irritation, subjective sense of discomfort, tightness, and burning, which often tend to increase when using standard topical treatment. For this reason, administration of adjuvant agents is required, which result in alleviation of these additional clinical symptoms and, at the same time, have certain therapeutic potential. In addition, patients with sensitive skin, in particular those who underwent cosmetic procedures, quite often seek advice from dermatologist, which necessitates administration of topical agents to relieve irritation and restore the skin barrier function.
