Abstract:

The article describes rare and atypical manifestations of syphilis that lead to persistent aesthetic skin defects. Cases of gangrenous phagedenic chancre in a 47-year-old male and a 21-year-old female are presented. The discussion of rare and atypical manifestations of syphilis will allow dermatovenereologists and other doctors to examine patients timely, establish the diagnosis, and conduct comprehensive treatment.
