Abstract:

Psoriasis of the scalp is the most common localization of dermatosis, which is observed in 80% of patients. Topical short-contact use of potent corticosteroids is currently typically used to treat this clinical form of psoriasis. 0.05% Etrivex shampoo (containing clobetasol propionate) was registered in Russia and belongs to this group of drugs. The data on the effectiveness of using Etrivex shampoo during 4 weeks in 38 patients with psoriasis of the scalp are presented. High effectiveness has been proved on the basis of the dynamics of high-validity PASI index and the dermatology life quality index, which decreased by over 85%. The use of Etrivex shampoo was shown to significantly increase patient's compliance, which was over 95%. The use of the shampoo containing 0.05% clobetasol propionate during 6 months twice a week according to the intermittent scheme is effective to control the disease.
