The paper provides general information on materials used for injection contour faceplasty. It characterizes silicone implants and compounds, autotissues, synthetic polymer-based gels, biopolymers, and combination agents. The authors raise a question about the choice of a material for the correction of congenital, acquired or age-related facial contour deformities between long-acting synthetic polymers, possible long-term complications and safer biopolymers of limited duration.
