Abstract:

Yustin Yulianovich Janelidze was one of the leading Soviet surgeons, widely known in our country and deservedly enjoyed unquestionable authority as a major scientist, a gifted clinician who reached the pinnacle of excellence in his specialty, as a talented teacher and an outstanding health care organizer. His scientific works, reflecting a broad knowledge of relevant medical literature, are characterized by a thorough study of facts and original scientific interpretation of them.
