Abstract:

Aim. To present the experience of coronary artery bypass grafting in postmenopausal women with coronary aftery disease in the Department of Cardiac Surgery of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University from 2006 to 2015. Material and methods. 158 coronary artery bypass procedures were performed. Indications for off-pump and on-pump myocardial revascularization, surgical technique, intraoperative and postoperative complications are comprehensively presented. Results. The individual surgical approach and the use of cardiopulmonary bypass resulted good immediate outcomes (mortality rate 4.43%) in high risk postmenopausal women.
