Abstract:

Currently, the most common complaint by reference to gastroenterologists is heartburn, the cause of which in most cases becomes reflux esophagitis. In 65% of patients reflux esophagitis, in turn, arises from the hiatal hernia (HH). «The gold standard» of surgical treatment for HH is considered a laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication. The introduction of modern laparoscopic surgical methods of treatment may be accompanied by complications, uncharacteristic for open surgical approaches. In this case, these are the perioperative pneumothorax and responsive pleurisy.
