Analysis of videoendoscopic esophagoplasty in 55 patients with postburn esophageal strictures has been carried out. The most common indications for esophageal reconstruction were failure of recanalisation of the esophagus due to its total obstruction or considerable extended stricture hindering in passing the bouge guide (50.9±6.7%), inefficacy of esophageal bougienage or stenting (47.3±5.4%). When choosing the organ for reconstruction stomach was preferred in most cases due to its optimal extra- and intraorgan vascular architectonics, preservation of physiologic digestion. Esophagocoloplasty was performed mostly in case of postburn gastric strictures not allowing creating the transplant of adequate length, disintegration of blood flow through the gastroepiploic arterial arch after previous gastrostomy or two-stage esophagoplasty. Original technique of videothoracoscopic extirpation of the esophagus with simultaneous videolaparoscopic esophagogastroplasty that is accompanied by minimum number of complications managed non-surgically, allows reducing length of postoperative period by 8.4 days compared with conventional esophagogastroplasty (12.1±0.5 days and 20.5±3.6 days respectively) and by 6.8 days in comparison with traditional esophagocoloplasty (12.1±0.5 and 18.9±4.5 days).
