Article covers study of effectiveness of Icodextrin for prevention of adhesions in 48 patients with hysterectomy in past medical history operated on laparoscopically for benign ovarian tumors. Postoperative impact of Icodextrin has been analysed. In 25 patients of the main group with massive adhesions revealed at the time of operation intraperitoneal instillation of 4% Icodextrin solution was performed. 23 patients without Icodextrin appliance comprised the comparison group. Application of 4% Icodextrin solution enabled to improve postoperative course, reduce duration of postoperative pain, timing of normalization of bowel functioning, lower length of hospital stay and facilitates decrease of recurrent adhesions by 33% due to ultrasound results.
