Aim. To analyze the results of the implementation of the quality indicators for colonoscopy at the Clinical and Diagnostic Center «Zdorov’e» of the Rostov-on-Don. Material and methods. The following quality indicators have been introduced to assess the quality of colonoscopy: adenoma detection rate (ADR), cecal intubation rate (CIR), colonoscopy withdrawal time (CWT), Boston Bowel Preparation Scale (BBPS), complete two-stage bowel preparation for colonoscopy, standardization of protocols and terminology, photo fixation «points» and unified photo archive of survey data, internal review of employees. The following facilities are used: modern technologies and classifications, anesthesia, carbon dioxide, antifoam agents, spasmolytic drugs. Results. Colonoscopy quality indicators have been introduced at the City Endoscopy Center, unified standards of training, conducting and evaluation of colonoscopy have been organized. Positive dynamics of colonoscopies concerning the total number of endoscopic examinations, the dynamics of ambulatory polypectomy and positive dynamics of colonoscopies with anesthetic support for the period 2014—2018 have been presented. A comparative analysis of colonoscopy quality indicators was shown: ADR was 23 and 27% in 2017 and 2018, respectively, CIR increased from 83 to 86%, CWT increased from 4—6 min to 8—10 min and the number of adequate preparations grew from 70 to 90%. Conclusions. Colonoscopy quality indicators were accepted at the Clinical and Diagnostic Center «Zdorov’e». These measures improved individual performance of medical staff, quality of bowel preparation for colonoscopy and, as a result, diagnosis of colon neoplasia at an earlier stage.
