Abstract:

The article presents the facts about the effectiveness of the use of antacid magaldrate on the treatment of various acid-dependent diseases. Magaldrate (aluminum magnesium hydroxide sulfate) is used as an antacid that neutralizes excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach. A wide range of biological and pharmacological properties of antacid is described, experimental and clinical results of domestic and foreign studies are presented. Reported on a new combined medicine — antaraya, which includes magaldrate antacid and anti-foam substance is simethicone. The place of magaldrate in the treatment and prevention of peptic ulcer and other acid-dependent diseases was determined.
