Aim of this study was to evaluate prognostic value of several burn severity indexes. Material and methods. Totally 416 patients were enrolled in the study: 306 (73.56%) patients in survivor group and 110 (26.44%) patients in non-survivor group. All patients were screened on burn severity scales: PBI (Prognostic Burn Index), Index Baux, RBS (Revised Baux score), ABSI (Abbreviated Burn Severity Index), IF (Index Frank), Belgian BOBI (Outcome in Burn Injury). Conclusion. We recommend PBI, Baux, RBS or ABSI for use in the burn centers of low and middle-income countries.
