This guideline provides basic information on the diagnostic and treatment tactics for viral pulmonary lesions, taking into account the data obtained during the care of patients with new COVID-19 coronavirus infection. When writing the manual, the authors were based on global and their own experience in the treatment of patients with respiratory viral infections, in some cases leading to the development of pneumonia. Accessibility and clarity of presentation, detailed discussion of interdisciplinary problems make the publication useful not only for infectious disease physicians, but also for general practitioners (family physicians), internists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, rehabilitation specialists and doctors of other specialties.
