Abstract:

Adenoidectomy, one of the most common surgical procedures in pediatric otorhinolaryngology, may be complicated by postoperative bleeding. Objective: to estimate the rate of postoperative bleeding and the efficacy of intraoperative intravenous tranexam in a dose of 10 mg per kg body weight in children after primary adenoidectomy. Conclusion. The systemic intraoperative administration of tranexam led to a significant decrease in the rate of early postoperative bleeding.
