On March 11, 2024, Yuri Vasilyevich Novikov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, President of the Yaroslavl State Medical University, Professor of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, Honored Scientist of the RSFSR, Member of the Board of the Russian Union of Rectors, Honorary Citizen of the City of Yaroslavl, passed away at the 88th year of life.
