Over the past decades, information technologies get great importance in the field of health care. Their role in the development of Russian health care cannot be underestimated. In this article the authors present the results of their work in connection with creation of the microbiological researches nomenclature of the Common Reference of Laboratory Researches (CRLR). It was carried out by the working group from the Department of Health Care of Moscow city together with the Department of Information Technology in the terms of introduction of the Centralized Laboratory Services (CLS) as part of the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System of Moscow (UMIAS). CLS and CRLR are destined to the process of laboratory researches, unification and increasing the availability of the test results, as well as the management of quality and scientific achievements of laboratory services of Moscow city. The developed guidelines and algorithms for the realization of CLS in the system of UMIAS is designed primarily to standardize the preanalytical phase of laboratory diagnostics of Moscow city, as well as the exchange of standardized and structured laboratory information between medical institutions of the city. CLS UMIAS will improve the efficiency of the prescription process, performance, statistical and epidemiological treatment of wide range of laboratory researches. Taking into account the increasing demands on transmission speed of digitized information, the CLS meets the demands of modern reality and solution of problems in medicine.
