Abstract:

The article analyzes the situation in regard to the provision of medical laboratories with up-to-date information systems to control analytical quality (validity) of study results. The six sigma approach and CLSI standards are recommended to measure the analytical quality. The paper considers the possibilities of using post-analytical laboratory information as intellectual expert systems, as well as those when management decision-making is supported, for example, when laboratory tests are centralized and outsourced.
