Skin sensitivity is noted in many dermatological diseases. The main pathophysiological mechanisms of the formation of sensitive skin are damage to the hydrolipid mantle and a deficiency of ceramides. Selection of external agents that reduce the threshold of skin sensitivity is relevant.

THE PURPOSE

Evaluation of the clinical efficacy and safety of using a cosmetic line for various types of skin sensitivity, including soothing micellar water with a mild surfactant based on coconut oil and skin moisturizers containing unsaponifiable sunflower oil, plum oil, glycerin and allantoin.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The study included 40 patients aged 18—60 years (5 men and 35 women) with various types of skin sensitivity. The patients used soothing micellar water 2 times a day for 14 days, followed by the application of a moisturizer appropriate for the skin type. Examination and assessment of clinical manifestations on the skin was carried out on the 7th and 14th days of treatment, the dynamics of the main symptoms was assessed by comparing photographs taken on the 1st and 7th days of treatment.

RESULTS

The use of the line for hypersensitive skin as monotherapy made it possible to achieve a significant improvement in the clinical picture of the disease in most patients. More than 95% of patients expressed satisfaction with the use of the cosmetic acts.

CONCLUSION

Cosmetic care products for hypersensitive skin are effective and safe. They can be recommended for daily basic care, as well as in combination with medication.
