Abstract:

Liver damage due to thyroid gland disease is rare and poorly understood.

OBJECTIVE

To attract doctors’ attention (general practitioners, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists) to liver damage due to thyrotoxicosis (Graves’ disease). Informing about this pathology will allow early diagnosis of thyrotoxicosis complications with cytolytic and cholestatic syndromes of unknown origin. The article presents a clinical case of the thyrotoxicosis onset with the development of thyrotoxic hepatitis in a young man and the subsequent complete clinical and biochemical remission after treatment with thyreostatic drugs.
