Aleksei Petrovich Vlasov was born on March 31, 1961 in the village of Novaya Karachikha, Romodanovsky District, MASSR. In 1980 he graduated with honors from Saransk Technical School of Electronic Devices, in 1986 - with honors from the Medical Faculty of Mordovian State University, specializing in "General Medicine", from 1986 to 1987 - a clinical intern at the Department of General Surgery (Head of the Department and scientific supervisor - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor N.I. Atiasov, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation), N.I. Atiasov, M.D., honored worker of science of Russian Federation), from 1987 to 1992 - Assistant of Pediatrics Department in pediatric surgery, from 1992 - Head of Department of faculty surgery. He defended his Candidate thesis in 1988, and Doctoral thesis in 1991. In 1993 he was awarded the academic title of professor. He has the highest qualification category in surgery. He is the chairman of the Mordovian Republican Scientific Surgical Society and the head of the Endoscopic Surgery Center of the Republic of Mordovia.
