Abstract:

The manual for physicians is devoted to one of the most popular endoscopic examinations at the moment - colonoscopy. The work outlines: the relevance of endoscopic examination of the colon, issues of quality preparation of the colon for examination, technical support of the method, methods of performing the study, modern standards for the protocol of colonoscopy, as well as the timing of dynamic control of follow-up studies. The manual presents in detail modern criteria for assessing the quality of colonoscopy.

The manual is intended for practical endoscopists, gastroenterologists, surgeons, coloproctologists and researchers in the field of clinical gastroenterology, surgery, oncology and endoscopy.

Developing organization: Department of Gastroenterology of the N.I. Pirogov Russian Research Medical University.

This manual was approved by the Expert Council for Science of the Moscow City Health Department on 08.02.2019 (Minutes № 3 of 03.03.2019)
