Leonid Ilyich Vinnitsky - Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, International Academy of Informatization, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. He was born on September 17, 1937 in Vinnitsa. Graduated from the 1st Leningrad Medical Institute named after acad. I.P. Pavlov (1962). From 1962 he was surgeon-anesthesiologist in Moscow city hospital #56. From 1966 - Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Interclinical Hormonal Laboratory at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. Since 1967 he rose from senior laboratory assistant to head of the laboratory of immunology and regulatory mechanisms in surgery at the State Institution of the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after acad. B.V. Petrovsky Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. He defended his PhD thesis (1970) and his doctoral thesis "Correction of microcirculatory disorders and humoral regulatory system in surgical patients" (1982).
