Abstract The syndrome of acute lower limb ischemia remains one of the most difficult problems of vascular surgery. Atherosclerotic stenosis result embolism and thrombosis in 36—40% and 98% of cases, respectively. These events require surgical repair as a rule. Further study of some issues of pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment is required despite the accumulated extensive experience in the treatment of this pathology.
