Hyperpigmentation is a common cosmetic problem that most often occurs in middle-aged women. Laser therapy is one of the most effective and sophisticatedly studied methods for correction of hyperpigmentation. Unique properties of laser exposure result specific side effects and long-term rehabilitation after procedure. To minimize these adverse events and duration of rehabilitation period, we developed a three-stage hyperpigmentation correction protocol. The last one includes intradermal injections of hyaluronic acid and trehalose, treatment with picosecond 755-nm alexandrite laser with diffractive lens and post-procedure care with serum containing tocopheryl acetate and disodium lauriminodipropionate tocopheryl phosphates, biomimetic cream and SPF 50+ sunscreen. The developed protocol was highly effective for the treatment of pigmented spots without severe side effects.
